Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services selected as one of AMSA’s Fleet Safety Winners
SPRINGFIELD, VA, February 3, 2011 – Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services is pleased to announce its selection as one of AMSA’s Fleet Safety award recipients. Interstate has been awarded the Under 5 Million Mile recognition and will accept this award at the annual conference this March in Jacksonville.
AMSA is the premier moving and storage association in the United States. Each van line involved in the selection is matched to similar sized carriers for safety comparison. The Fleet Safety award acknowledges carriers that met or exceeded the measurement system requirements program (Comprehensive Safety Accountability Guidelines), over the past 12 months. The CSA programmed is based on seven driver behavior categories including: Unsafe Driving, Fatigue Driving, Driver fitness, Controlled Substance and Alcohol, Vehicle Maintenance, Cargo Related, Crash Indicator.
Interstate ranks among the overall best in each AMSA category and has the best safety record among all carriers. Since 1997, Interstate has been awarded First Place or Runner Up for AMSA’s fleet safety awards. Each year, Interstate’s safety team has implemented a creative and innovative incentive program that helps drivers achieve high quality safety scores. In addition to these programs, it is also mandatory that Interstate’s safety team ensures Interstate’s compliance with the safety rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Winning this fleet award confirms that safety and quality service are top priorities of Interstate’s. In the future, Interstate will continue to strive to meet and surpass industry requirements for customer safety.
