Springfield, VA, March 24, 2011- Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services is pleased to welcome Eric Fierst back to the company as Director of Van Lines Operations. Eric Fierst is a sixteen year veteran in the transportation industry with the last twelve years specifically in the area of Moving and Storage.
Eric originally joined Interstate in 1999 after completing his enlistment in the Marine Corps. He began as a Quality Control Administrator in the Quality Control and Training Department and worked his way up to eventually serving as the Training Supervisor, Manager, Quality Control and Training, and General Manager of Interstate Moving Systems. Eric holds a Class A Commercial Drivers License and assisted the company as a Third Party CDL Examiner for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
After September 11th, 2001, Eric was recalled to Active Duty and served as the Watch Commander of the Provost Marshalls Office in Arlington, Virginia. During this time, Eric continued working with Interstate to complete the company’s transition from the ISO 9000:1994 standard to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
In 2005, Eric relocated to Minnesota to be closer to family where he joined Ace World Wide as an agent for Atlas Van Lines as their Operations Manager overseeing the warehouse of both local and long distance operations. In 2007, he moved to St. Louis, MO as the Director of Operations for Fry-Wagner Moving and Storage, overseeing local, long distance, and relocation for multiple warehouses within the region.
Eric has been married for fifteen years to his wife Loan and their two children, Blake (4) and Brooke (2). When not working, he spends his time motorcycling and working on various projects around the house. Eric holds a Bachelors of Science in Social Psychology and an Associates of Science in Management from Park University.
