SPRINGFIELD, VA, June 15, 2011 – Interstate Worldwide Relocation Services is the proud recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award in recognition of excellence in the family business presented by SmartCEO. Interstate President, Bud Morrissette, was honored and accepted the award on behalf of the firms’ 300 employees and the company’s founding Morrissette family. SmartCEO recognized ten leaders who, through their business acumen and character, are succeeding in their businesses to a level that most companies rarely achieve, the ceremony, was held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
The Circle of Excellence award judges its contenders in these categories: growth management, philanthropy, young entrepreneurship, turnaround, product innovation, social responsibility, classic, franchising, family business and resiliency.
Upon receiving the award – Morrissette stated; “It is a privilege to accept this award on behalf our team and my family. The award reaffirms that Interstate, as a third generation family-owned and operated company, maintains the same values as when the company was founded in 1943, by my grandfather, Arthur. And it isn’t the company stating this-it is our peers. And that goes a very long way.”
